Scott Wilson was born on August 6, 1950 in San Diego,
California. He took up weight training in his garage at a
young age, with any weights he could get his hands on. At
one point, his mother won bicycles for Scott and his
siblings on a game show, and Scott sold his to buy more
weights.
As a teen, Scott played football and wrestled in
highschool, and still holds the school record for "fastest
pin" (11 seconds). Following school, Scott joined the
Marines.
In the early 1970's he entered the Mr. San Diego contest on
a dare, won the contest, and never looked back. Within 2
years, he was Mr. America. He went on to win 1981Mr.
International, and the 1983Portland Grand Prix.
Scott's
combination of size and symmetry made him one of the top
competitors in the world from the late 70's to mid 80's. His
shoulders and triceps were considered the best in the
business.
Today, Scott lives in northern California with his wife Vy
and has 3 sons (Scott, Michael, and Erik). Contests include
the 1983 Pro World 5th; 1983 Grand Prix Portland 1st; 1983
Grand Prix Colorado 6th; 1994 Masters Olympia 11th; 1999
Masters Olympia 10th; 2000 Masters Olympia 8th.
2000 Masters Olympia - The DVD includes the show from
the prestigious event, plus posing by all competitors, posedowns and
awards. 8th place for Scott Wilson.
